Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using re:Gist (the “Service”), operated by Après AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

re:Gist is an AI-powered meeting intelligence application that records audio, generates real-time transcriptions using Amazon Transcribe, and produces AI-generated summaries and action items using Amazon Bedrock. The Service is available as an iOS app and a web dashboard at regist.apresai.dev.

3. User Responsibilities and Recording Consent

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable recording consent laws.

Many jurisdictions require all parties to a conversation to consent before being recorded (“two-party” or “all-party” consent laws). Before using re:Gist to record any conversation, you must:

• Determine the applicable recording consent laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of all other participants
• Obtain all required consents before beginning a recording
• Inform all participants that the meeting is being recorded

Après AI is not responsible for any legal liability arising from your failure to obtain required consents.

4. Accounts

You must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Tier

All accounts include unlimited on-device recording and summarization (iOS 26+) at no charge. No credit card is required for the free tier. Cloud features (AWS Transcribe, Claude Haiku summaries, AI chat) require a Pro subscription or a credit pack.

Pro Plan: $9.99/month

The Pro plan provides 300 cloud-AI credits per month. Unused monthly credits roll over up to 600 (about two months' worth); separately purchased credit packs add to your balance and are not subject to this rollover limit. One credit covers approximately one minute of cloud transcription or one AI summary; rates may vary. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time, through the billing portal on the web, or through your device's subscription settings if you subscribed via the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Credit packs (web only)

One-time credit packs are available for purchase on the web at any time, with or without an active subscription. Credits from packs do not expire and stack on top of any subscription balance. Credit packs are not available through the App Store.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use re:Gist to:

• Record conversations without the required legal consents
• Upload, transmit, or store illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Resell or commercialize the Service without our written permission

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all audio recordings, transcripts, and content you create using re:Gist. By using the Service, you grant Après AI a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

The re:Gist application, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Après AI and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcriptions and summaries will be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Après AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Après AI in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@apresai.dev. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the Service or other users. Active subscriptions will not be refunded upon termination for cause.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
