How do I start a recording?
Open the re:Gist iOS app and tap the microphone button on the Record screen. The app will begin recording and transcribing in real time. Tap Stop when your meeting is finished to save and generate an AI summary.
How accurate is the transcription?
Cloud transcription works best in quiet environments with clear audio. Accuracy varies with background noise, accents, and audio quality. Speaker labels (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.) are assigned automatically and can be renamed to real names after summarization.
How do I manage my subscription?
Sign in to regist.apresai.dev, go to Settings, and click Manage Subscription. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan. Changes take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Pro accounts receive 300 cloud-AI credits each month, with unused monthly credits rolling over up to 600 (about two months' worth); separately purchased credit packs add to your balance and never expire. One credit covers approximately one minute of cloud transcription or one AI summary. When your balance reaches zero, new cloud actions (recording on web, generating summaries, AI chat) are blocked until your next monthly grant arrives or you buy a credit pack. On iOS you can still record and summarize locally for free at any balance.
Who can see my recordings and transcripts?
Only you. Your audio files, transcripts, and summaries are private to your account. We do not share or sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do I need consent from others before recording?
Yes. Recording consent laws vary by location. Many jurisdictions require all parties to a conversation to consent before recording begins. You are responsible for informing all participants and obtaining required consent. See our Terms of Service for more information.
How do I delete a meeting or recording?
In the iOS app, swipe left on a meeting in the list and tap Delete, or open the meeting and use the delete option in the menu. You can also delete meetings from the web dashboard at regist.apresai.dev/meetings.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
Email us at support@apresai.dev with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request'. Include the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
What AI models are used for summaries?
Summaries and action items are generated by advanced cloud AI models running in re:Gist's secure cloud; the specific AI providers are listed in our Privacy Policy. AI output may not be perfectly accurate. Always review summaries before relying on them for important decisions.
Is re:Gist available on Android or the web?
iOS and the web at regist.apresai.dev both support recording, viewing, managing, and exporting your meetings. Android is not currently supported.
